Tutorial 1: Signing Up
1. Where? At TetherBlog.com, you can find the sign up link at the bottom of the site.
2. Terms and Conditions. You’ll have to agree to the terms and conditions of TetherBlog.com. Read through the terms, then click the link at the bottom of the page that states that you understand and agree to the terms and are 13 or older.
3. Username and Email. Next, you’ll need to fill in a username to log into TetherBlog.com and a valid email address. The email address you enter will be used to send a confirmation email. Don’t worry, TetherBlog.com won’t send you spam or sell your email address.
4. Check your Email. Next you’ll need to find the email that TetherBlog.com sent you and click the activation link.
5. Log In. The first step in changing your temporary password to something reasonable is logging in to your brand new account at TetherBlog.com. Your temporary password and a login link can be found on the page that opened when you clicked the activation link, and also in an email that was sent when you activated your account. You can also use the link near the bottom left of TetherBlog.com to reach the log in page.
6. Edit Your Profile. Next, head to your profile. If your in the dashboard, you can find the profile link on the left. If you’re at the homepage, you can find the link near the bottom left. Once you reach your profile, you can set your password at the bottom of the page. There’s quite a few fields on this page, but the only thing you really need to do is change your password. You might want to enter a name or nickname in the “Name” section, but that’s optional. When you’re done, click the “Update Profile” button at the bottom. If you added a name or nickname, you might want to select a name for “Display name publicly as” (in the name section) and click “Update Profile” one more time.
You’ve successfully signed up! If you signed up becuase someone wanted to add you to their TetherBlog, make sure you let them know. You can now return to the tutorial index or go to TetherBlog.com.
